Romans 8:35 This Love of Christ
Romans 8:34 Who is there to condemn us? For Christ Jesus, who died, and more than that was raised to life, is at the right hand of God—and He is interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine ornakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written: “For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”…
Many people face challenges everyday and they wonder if their Jesus, the Messiah, the Prince of Peace and One who has promised blessings for this who have faith in Him, is ever there in their times of adversity.
Paul reminds us that the Love of Christ is alway ever present in the most difficult circumstances.
Evil came into the world when people chose to use the free will God has given, freely without any restrictions, to perpetrate evil. God will not take away our free will and turn us into puppets or robots simply because He wants us to love and have faith in Him, nor even to build a utopia. Jesus will make all things beautiful when He comes the second time. God wants us to freely choose to love, just as we are not forced to love people around us. and not to be forced into loving Him and people around us. Therefore stopping evil will have to be a conscious decision we all make.
However we are confident that in spite of people’s aggression against one another, there will be a day to give account and a day of reckoning. But above all, the love of Christ always prevails and wins in every circumstance. Therefore no persecutions and challenges will ever separate us from the love of Christ.
