Luke 10:31 – Image of the Church of Christ
Luke 10:25-37. 31 ..as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
In this day and age, the Church must ask for a definite Biblical life changing revival. A definite return in prayer and action, belief and practice, confession and conforming to the Gospel, sacrifice and service. We must reject faith with action disconnect. What we profess and teach we practice, what we believe and preach we must practice and live in community. We must NOT separate our life from the word alive!
We are called to be friendly and loving so that we can evangelize, kind and gentle so that we can win people to Christ, generous and loving so that they may see Christ in us, honest and transparent so that our detractors will have nothing to say against us, humble and patient and yet firm and resolute in our faith, full of Integrity so that we stand straight on the day of judgement, full of grace and of Holy Spirit so that it will be easy for the very lost to enter into the love of Jesus, avoiding legalisms to allow for the inexhaustible grace to do the work of Salvation!
